About Twiztid
Twiztid came to me from Brett Williams of Tooth N Nail kennel in Las Vegas, NV. He was my introduction to the breed, and to tell the truth, I probably should have done more reading in the beginning.

Prior to him coming home, I was bombarded with stories on how awful staffys can be in their first year. People warned me about furniture being ruined, clothing, fences, pieces of cars etc. I was wondering what the heck I got myself into, but I can tell you, to this day, Twiz has not chewed one piece of my furniture, my carpet, my clothing or my car.  He knows what he can and can't chew, we worked this from day one. Now food is another story, Twiztid is a chow hound! It is guaranteed if he is in the house and you can't see him, he is searching for food. It is his constant mission to find something we forgot to pick up or put away. Of course this does make him a very good training partner as he will always WORK FOR FOOD.

Twiztid is currently competing in flyball and dock jumping. In the summer of 2006, Twiz made his debut in the flyball racing lanes. He has competed in 3 tournaments thus far and looks forward to many, many more. He get's very excited being in the lanes with his team, chortling and screaming waiting for his chance to go, go, go!  He is a natural at frisbee, so we are hoping to get him further into that next year (2007), after he has really mastered his two other sports. Twiztid also enjoys participating in Terrier Fun Days and showing the Jacks some of their roots - did you know when they bred the original JRT', they mixed in some bull terrier with a few other breeds.

Once Twiztid made it to his forever home at 12 weeks of age, we got our first glympse of breed prejudices at the vet. I did not realize that it would affect me so much, until I was right in the middle of it and they were talking about my little innocent puppy.  This encouraged me to socialize him and make him an all around wonderful dog.

Twiztid is a great ambassador to his breed, he is loyal, athletic, brave, loves to work and to top it off he is a wonderful companion. I am blessed to have this little man in my life.
